Each year, State Bank of Southern Utah proudly awards over $50,000 in scholarships to students from more than 25 high schools in central and southern Utah.

What is the application deadline?

Applications are due April 1.

How much is the scholarship award?

Most scholarships are $500 or more. (Rather than awarding a few large scholarships, we prioritize helping more students.)

Where can I use the scholarship?

Scholarship can be applied toward expenses at a college, university, technical school, cosmetology school, or esthetician school.

What does the scholarship cover?

Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, books, housing, or meal plans. The awarded amount will be sent directly to your school and applied to your student account.

How will I know if I am selected?

Scholarship recipients will be notified by either their high school or State Bank of Southern Utah.

When will recipients be notified?

Winners will be announced in April or May, depending on the scholarship awards ceremony at your high school.

How do I claim (accept) my scholarship?

Winners will receive instructions on how to accept your scholarship online. At that time they can accept or defer their scholarship.

Can I defer my scholarship?

Yes. If you need to defer your scholarship, indicate on your acceptance form that you would like to defer. When you’re ready to resume school, contact your local branch to reactivate your scholarship, and the funds will be sent to your chosen school.
