How do I enroll in Mobile Banking?

To Enroll in Mobile Banking, complete A or B below

A. For Internet Banking Users (Meaning, you already use our Internet Banking)
  1. Login to Internet Banking at www.sbsu.com (Preferably from a desktop computer).
  2. Click "Other Services"
  3. In the submenu click "Mobile Banking"
  4. Read and accept the Mobile Banking Disclaimer
  5. Fill in the information about your mobile device
    1. Use your Internet Banking Login ID as your mobile username (unless you like keeping track of different user names).
    2. Enter your mobile phone number with no dashes or spaces (i.e. 4351234567)
    3. Select a password. You can use your same Internet Banking password, or any combination of letters/numbers 4-12 characters long.
  6. Click the "Enroll" button.
  7. You will receive a text message. Reply with "Yes". Banking-by-text will be enabled.
  8. Next, you will receive a text link to the web version of Mobile Banking (for small screens). If you intend to use your mobile web browser instead of an app, bookmark the link for easy access.
  9. You are now successfully enrolled!

How do I access Mobile Banking?

After enrolling in Mobile Banking (see FAQ above) . . .

iPad, iPhone, Android or BlackBerry App Banking:
  1. Click one of the links at left to download the appropriate app to your mobile device.
  2. If your particular phone does not have an app, you can use text messages or Mobile Web (see below).
Mobile Web:
If your phone doesn’t support one of our mobile apps, bookmark this page to conduct banking on the web: www.sbsu.com/mobile.
Tablet:
Our website at www.sbsu.com works fine for most tablets.

What are the text commands for Mobile Banking?

The following text commands can be used to access your information.

HINT: Nickname your accounts using short, easy to remember names. Nicknames will greatly simplify the texting process because you won't need to remember account numbers.
Account Balance Inquiries
Command Result
BAL Returns the balance of all enabled accounts
BAL <account nickname or number> Returns the balance for the specified account
Account Detail Inquiries

DETAILS <account nickname or number> Returns the abbreviated account number, nickname, type, and balance for the specified account
Last Five History Transactions
Command Result
TRANS <account nickname or number> Returns the last five transactions for the specified account
Performing A Transfer

XFER <amount> FROM <from account nickname or number> TO <to account nickname or number> Transfers the specified amount between the accounts listed.

Apps are available to download on Android, iPhone and BlackBerry devices and allow quick and easy access to your account information. Use the links in the left column to download the Mobile Banking app to your device.
