State Bank of Southern Utah and our employees recognize the importance of protecting your Privacy. We want you to understand what information we collect and how we use it. We do NOT sell, rent, lease or otherwise disclose your personal information for purposes unrelated to our products and services. In order to provide our customers with a broad range of financial products and services as effectively and conveniently as possible, we use technology to manage and maintain customer information. What Information We Collect

  • Information about your transactions with us or others; and
  • Information we receive from third parties such as credit bureaus.

"Nonpublic personal information" is nonpublic information about you that we obtain in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. For example, nonpublic personal information includes information regarding your account balance, payment history, and overdraft history.

What Information We Disclose
We are permitted under law to disclose non-public personal information about you to other third parties in certain circumstances. For example, we may disclose non-public personal information about you to third parties to assist us in servicing your loan or account with us, to government entities in response to subpoenas, and to credit bureaus. We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to anyone, except as permitted by law.

We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements.

If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices described in this notice.

Our Security Procedures
We also take steps to safeguard customer information. We restrict access to your personal and account information to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. Employees who violate these standards will be subject to disciplinary measures. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.

Medical Information
We do not collect medical or health information except what you provide. We do not share that information with anyone except to process transactions or to provide services you have requested or initiated.

Visitors to this bank web site remain anonymous. We do not secretly collect identifying information. However, we may use standard software to collect general statistical information about visitors to our web site, such as:

  • Date and time our site was accessed
  • IP address (A numeric address given to servers connected to the Internet)

The bank uses this information to determine the level of interest in information available on our site.

Visitors may elect to provide us with personal information via E-mail or our web site's online registration forms. This information is used internally, as appropriate, to handle the sender's request. It is not disseminated or sold to other organizations.

Bank customers who want to access the Internet Banking System must go through an enrollment process. The enrollment forms request personal identifying information through an encrypted session to assist the bank in positively identifying the customer. Personal information includes Name, Social Security Number and account number. Again, this information is used internally and is not disseminated or sold to other organizations.

Some areas of our Web site may use a "cookie" temporarily stored in the visitor's computer memory (RAM) to allow the Web server to log the pages you use within the site and to know if you have visited the site before.
